A group of Ferengi stuns the crew of the Enterprise and starts to rob the ship. Ferengi leader Ulys (Ethan Phillips a.k.a. Neelix from Voyager) wakes up Archer and interrogates him about "The Vault" of the ship, not knowing that there is nothing to find. Archer tries to manipulate the Ferengi and offers him a share of the (not existing) gold, but Ulys decides to search for the vault by himself. He leaves Archer under the custody of his cousin Krem (Jeffrey Combs), a shy and less greedy Ferengi who doesn't have "the lobes for business", as he says. Archer talks to him and encourages Krem to have more self confidence.

In the meantime Trip,  the only other crewman awake since he was in the contamination chamber during the stunning gas was setting everyone else asleep, finds out that  something is wrong. He gets hold of a hypospray and uses it to wake up T'Pol. Finally, Archer, Trip and T'Pol play a clever trick on the Ferengis to get their ship back....

Ferengi, Ooomox, a Vulcan sex slave, Trip in underware and Jeffrey Combs - that sounds like great fun. Unfortunately this episode is neither a funny  parody like "The magnificent Ferengi" nor really thrilling. Jeff reminds rather Rom than Brunt and has quite a lot of lines with Archer, which is interesting, but the role was rather flat. I was a bit decepted.

Note that this is the second alien Jeff plays in Enterprise who turns from an enemy to something like an allie.
