Jenna Bradshaw

Blake and Ross's Wedding (1994)

I don't have the full week of this wedding, but I do remember enough to tell you about what happened prior to this scene.

RECAP: Jenna had come to this wedding with Detective Patrick Cutter...Eleni catered, so there was Nadine and Buzz to help. Because of the whole Pauley incident, Buzz was under Nadine's watchful eye. Jenna wandered back into the room where the cake was, then confronted Nadine, they fought, Jenna lost her balance and fell into the cake. Buzz tried to catch her, but no luck. Jenna and Buzz got into a fight...Jenna said, "Our relationship is like this cake! It can't be fixed!" So, they broke up. :'-(

Scene 1 - Dance Floor

Jenna took a drink of champaign. She then turned around and looked at Buzz for a brief moment. There were tears in her eyes.

Jenna: (sniffles; to Cutter) I'm going to let you be the first one to dance with me. Let's go.

Jenna took Cutters arm and they walked onto the dnce floor.

Scene 1 - Powder Room

Jenna stood in front of the full length mirror in the ladies room, after fixing her hair, and poured herself a drink, sipped it, and then poured herself another and taking yet another sip.

Lucy Cooper entered the bathroom.

Lucy: How you doin'?

Jenna: (softly) Oh, never better.

Lucy: Well, you look nice.

Jenna: (turns around to Lucy and opens her coat) Thank you so much. Cake does become me. (laughs)

Jenna started to walk out.

Lucy: (filing her nails) You know, you outta try wearing those sunglasses sometime with the little mirrors on it. It's amazing what goes on behind people's backs.

Jenna stopped in front of the door.

Jenna: What do you mean?

Lucy: Dumping my dad for Alan-Michael. Bad choice.

Jenna: What are you talking about?

Lucy: Well, you and he did break up, right?

Jenna: Right.

Lucy: Well then, that's what I'm talking about. I assume you're not his buisness partner anymore, right?

Lucy went to the mirror and fixed her hair.

Jenna: No. Lucy, what exactly are you getting at?

Lucy: (turns around to Jenna) How is that partnership going with Alan-Michael and Eleni and you? Good?

Jenna: How did you know about that?

Lucy: (shugs) Not very important, is it? But what is important is the fact that I know that Alan-Michael's not really supposed to be in any buisness that's competitive with Spaulding Enterprises, and being as his aunt is my boss, and I'm sure she would throw a fit if she found out, don't you think?

Jenna took another sip of champaign.

Scene 2 - Powder Room

Jenna: (filling her glass) Lucy, I think I'd better warn you that you are standing on (softly) very dangerous ground.

Lucy: (softly) Yes, well, I just thought you outta know.

Jenna: I wouldn't make veiled threats unless you're willing to carry them out. Then again, perhaps no one in your family ever does. (laughs)

Lucy: (laughs) Yeah, and I'm Alexandra's private secretary and I'd only be doing my job if I told her, right?

Jenna: Is that right? (laughs) Oh, why do I get the feeling that you're telling me what you think you know because of something that you want?

Lucy: Nevermind. I was just trying to be friendly. (walks away) And I also think that you should be paying a little bit more attention to your buisness, that's all.

Jenna: (takes a sip) Oh? How so?

Lucy: Because if you don't, then Eleni's going to be running it. Not that I really care all that much, I just wish she'd be spending a little bit more time with my brother than Alan-Michael, being as, they are still married the last time I looked.

Jenna: Mmm. What would you suggest?

Lucy: Ending all of the private meetings with Alan-Michael and Eleni...Unless, of course, you don't mind somebody getting loose lips and telling Alexandra.

Jenna: I could seduce Alan-Michael away from Eleni for you.

Lucy: No.

Lucy walked away and stood with her back facing Jenna.

Jenna: (laughs) I didn't think so. I think you're afraid that something might just happen between those two. (serious) And I've got to tell you, you're love life really is none of my buisness these days now that I'm out of your father's life.

Lucy: Wait a minute, I thought that you said...

Jenna: It doesn't really matter what you thought or what's been said. What counts is in the action. Another piece of advice--If you're going to lose yourself over a crush and get loose lips and destroy something that three people have worked very hard for, don't expect a thank you. Let alone to be kissed. (exasperated look)

Jenna turned around and left the room.
