It is alarming to hear that inmate Chad Ray Bennett, D.O.B. 4-6-74 has been diagnosed with what appears to be a fast growing meningioma ( or at least a tumor of the arachnoid) that threatens his life. The onset of this tumor and its apparent speed of doubling time is what is most disturbing. Chad also has Lyme Disease. Depending on the degree of malignancy, surgery, chemotherapy or radiotherapy is mandated as quickly as possible to slow down, cure or put into remission a nasty tumor.

Once the TDJC took custody over Chad, they are his guardians, and he is entitled to treatment by law. If TDCJ cannot provide the necessary treatment, he should be allowed to go to an outside physician. "Tumors" on the brain are painful and debilitating; whatever Chad is accused of, and he is innocent until proven guilty, his sentence will not be to suffer horrible headaches, dizziness, blondness and vomiting as well as seizures; surely the state wants to avoid all these complications.

If the great state of Texas cannot provide Chad Bennett with adequate health care, the authorities involved should consider his release on compassionate grounds. This would save all involved a great deal of heart ache, and offer Chad, whatever his alleged crime was, a chance to rest comfortably; in his current status, he is no threat to anyone.

I urge you to either allow him the right given to him by Estelle v Gamble as a prisoner, in the alternative release him for medical reasons.

Re:Formal Complaint Against Officer Magnuson

Dear City Manager Julie Couch & City Council Members,  This is a written formal complaint against Officer Magnuson which is employed by the City of  Rockwall Texas.

As I explained to you recently on your voice mail,  Officer Magnuson has been completely out of line and overstepped his authority by harassing my son, Chad Ray Bennett.

Chad is on parole and Chad's parole officer, Katina Heckard at: 972-272-9404 called me and told me that Officer Magnuson had called her and wanted her to violate Chad and preceded to tell her   that Chad was arrested for being in a drug house that they had staked out.

This was a complete lie. He was speaking of my home implying that it was a drug house. It is not. We have never done illegal drugs and this has been proven before in a lawsuit against corrupt policemen.

This reveals that officer Magnuson was involved with the city of Mesquite Texas police, who illegally busted in my front door December 13, 2003 without a search warrant. I have a civil rights lawsuit started against the city of Mesquite for violation of my civil rights and injury on myself.

My home was searched and the interior was destroyed two days later on December 15, 03 by these same corrupt police.

I was forced to sue them in order for their obstruction of justice to stop.  I sued in Federal Court and I won.  Officer Magnuson also went beyond his duties again and called Judge Keith Dean in Dallas Court and told Judge Dean another lie on Chad. He said that Chad is involved in a organized crime ring in Rockwall Texas.

I ask that you and the city council take steps to correct this officers conduct and not by just slapping his hand and giving him a leave of absence with pay!

I am sick and tired of my government employing such corrupt people. It was corrupt government that contributed to my 21 year old baby son, Chip Bennett's, death February 03.

We discovered only a few months after Chip's death that my oldest son, Chad, has a rare arachnoid brain tumor and I will fight with all my might this time to keep the corrupt employees of my government from killing another son of mine.
