Yep, that's him! Joe Carey, the second in command of Engineering of Voyager, despite what some 7 of 9 fans might think! Carey hasn't been seen for years, except in flashbacks, which presents an interesting problem: Where the heck did he go?

He's got a family and kids back in the Alpha Quadrant, and he was first-in-line to become the new chief Engineer aboard Voyager until Torres broke his nose in three places and Janeway made her Chief instead. Go figure! He made up with Torres almost straight away, so we know he doesn't hold grudges!

She of the blond hair and half-Ktaran child who gets more screen-time with Seven of Nine than Sam does, Ensign Wildman is one of the scientists aboard Voyager. Her husband, a Ktaran, was serving aboard DS9 at the time of Voyager's loss. Sam had recently become pregnant - they'd been trying for a family for months - but he didn't know at the time.

Sam's pretty, intelligent, and close friends with Neelix. But to the person who thought that the two should get together romantically - I have one word: NO! Sam's been seen a bit more recently than Carey, but one wonders why Naomi spends more time with Seven than her mother...!
