1630 Designs
These have all been created on the
Designer Software.
... this sure took some messin' around with to understand...
but once the pennies drop (it
takes several).. it makes for pretty stitching...
When I first started I got very depressed because the designs
would simply not sew they way they looked on the screen.
Then I got clever and downloaded some by Ashley Engelund.
Once I opened them in the Designer software I saw how they were done
I started using similar settings for stich length/width and size of designs
and then my Bernina started taking me places....!
There are three types of designs on this page:
2. Pivot Stitches
3. Monograms

Border 8
Now this one looks good in shiny embroidery thread and repeats well, especially on left/right mirror in memory.. |

Border 10 For this border stitch to work you have to program it into memory with the second one a top/bottom mirrored one. |

F2/3 (Single stitch)
This was a direct result of Cyndi Messick having done me a "little" favour by helping me to get my sweaty paws on a border key! Look carefully for the difference between mine and the regular F2/3 (apart from mine being capable of being enlarged. |
![]() Above, F2/3 as the 1630 sews it - Below, my "copy" design of it (bigger than you can get it with the 9mm max settings ![]() |

F2/3 (Triple stitch)
The above F2/3 is fine as long as you don't enlarge it... but once you have... the proportions are lost due to the "thin" thread" so I really enlarged it (ala borderkey-style) and made it triple! |
![]() This was much bigger and the "thicker" line (triple stitch) does it! Below, even bigger - like you get off the border key! |

I started looking at these designs of mine and saw the potential to utilize them as "tiles". That's how I got thinking of making my own "pivotal stitches". For all the designs below you should have the needle stop down activated along with the end pattern function set on 1.
And once I got started there was no stopping.... I happen to page through an embroidery book and saw some Assissi designs... now there's a challenge I couldn't resist!!
I do apologise for the sewn out samples... not all of them are perfectly aligned...I was in too much of a hurry to see how they came out to turn perfectly 90 degrees every time...:-(((
2. Pivot Stitches

Pivot 1
This one works well with or without the left/right mirror function engaged (for the duration of a whole square) |

I've heard a lot of folks say you should use fonts on your PC for your own monograms... here's mine of the letter C... If you go to the alphabet page you can download individual letters. |
