Causes that I believe in
Something I feel very strongly about is trying
to put a stop to child abuse and child pornography. Children are
precious and should be treated as such. Instead, there are horrible
people in this world that do not treat them that way. Child abuse and child
pornography are running rampant in our society today, including the internet
and Usenet. Innocent children as young as infancy are being used
as sex objects for these perverted people. While I think the internet
is a wonderful place, it can also be quite dangerous, especially
for children. I do not think the internet should be censored because that
will take away one of our freedoms, but I do believe that it is the parents
responsibility to monitor their children while they are surfing. Although
I do believe that child porn sites should be done away with. That is total
FILTH!!!! Those horrible sites have to be gone from the internet forever.
Always monitor the sites that your child views. If they go into chat
rooms, please watch who they talk to and always tell your kids never ever
to give out any sort of personal information to ANYONE. There are
people out there that prey on children. They could be anyone.
They aren't any particular race or religion or from any particular socio-economic
background and they can be both male or female. They could
be family members, friends, or even the guy next door. Child molesters
are usually extremely nice people. You would never know that they
have this sickness, and yes it is a sickness. Some people believe
that they can never be cured, even with therapy. Pedophiles (as they
are called) usually find your very family friendly home pages because they
know there will be pictures of your children on them. They take these
pictures from your site and then recreate the photo into something that
you would not want to view. Pedophiles transfer pictures to each
other through the internet. It's made very easy for them to do. I
know we don't like to think about something like this, but as parents,
WE MUST. It is very important. We are all very proud of our
beautiful children and we have every reason to be, but please never post
pictures of your children on the internet. I am extremely proud of
my two sons, they are both beautiful boys, but I will never have pictures
of them up on my website. It is such a shame that the world has come
to this, but this is a topic that is very REAL and very IMPORTANT.
