| I am trilled to see the Club is making its presence in the cyberspace. Now in our 108th year, we continue to value the traditions of the past, as well as addressing the evolving needs of our Members and encouraging the development of sport in Hong Kong. Whilst the mainstream of the Club's activities have progressed in other directions, I remain proud to be the President of the second oldest Cricket Club in Hong Kong. My involvement as Cricket Convenor have also given me the chance to witness the tremendous support of C.C.C. receiving from past and present cricketers of Hong Kong. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Domestically, our Club has played an important part in the development of League Cricket in Hong Kong dated back to 1903. Internationally, we have embarked on various overseas tours since 1982. On and off the field, our Club has been renowned as a competitive yet sociable opponent, making long lasting friendships all around the world. The launch of the website provides an extra platform for acquaintances of new and old to keep in touch with the happenings of our Club. The Club itself will undergo major renovation beginning 2002. As an enterprising and forward-looking organization, this will be another challenge which myself and the Club are welcome to meet. Although reviving a cricket ground will not be possible, the Club will continue to support our cricketing roots, preserving the Club's tradition as we enter into a new era. Happy "surfing"! |
