Damnation

Damnation look like a Black Metal band, but their sound is really Black Death Metal. I would describe their music as HEAVY, BLASPHEMOUS, and HATEFUL. They even make it a point to criticize certain people in the liner notes. Interestingly, the vocals are pretty clear and you can pretty much understand the lyrics without straining to distinguish the words. The music is a convulsive mix of blast beats, venomous barking vocals, and high speed riffing. It constantly erupts in a sort of stop/start fashion. This Polish group has a hybrid sound similar to some of the American Black Death bands, bands like Usurper and Acheron. They look and sound like a band with a lot of confidence in who they are and what they want to accomplish.
