Why?? Nearly a million Mustang II 's were produced over five years of production They were based on an economy car (the Pinto) just like the 1965 Mustang was (the Falcon). Their powerplants carried over into the "Late-model" Mustangs (1979 - present). They had similar suspensions and body construction to the "Classic" Mustangs (1965-1973).
