James H. (Jim) Pence BIO: James H. Pence, his wife Laurel and his two children, Christopher and Charlene, live near Greenville, Texas, where he directs Tuppence Creative Ministries, an outreach aimed at encouraging Christians to develop and use their creative gifts for God's glory. James turned to writing as a helpful means of expression after the death of his infant daughter, Michelle. Nearly ten years later, "A Road Not Chosen," James's narrative account of his and Laurel's experience was published in Dallas Seminary's Kindred Spirit magazine. He has also been published in The Writer magazine, and one of his articles has been selected for inclusion in the 2001 edition of The Writer's Handbook. Also a fiction writer, James's short stories have appeared in Junior Trails and HiCall magazines. His first novel, a YA thriller titled Friendly Revenge was released in October '99 by Hard Shell Word Factory and has received excellent reviews. James has recently completed an adult thriller, The Osmosis Project, and is currently planning a sequel to Friendly Revenge. The Osmosis Project is scheduled for release in paperback. Wendy Callaghan is a pseudonym used by Wendy Loker. Callaghan is her maiden name and as her parents have always encouraged her to use her imagination she decided to show her gratitude for their support by using the name they gave her.
