OMEGA’S 89th FOUNDERS DAY AT KAPPA CHAPTER

With like attainments, together, four Men stood,
giving birth to a Fraternity of True Brotherhood.
Not an average Organization, you must understand,
yet, one emphasizing Manhood in the Blackman.

November 17, 1911 on Howard University’s ground,
scientifically and spiritually, our Fraternity was found.
Since that sacred day, others attempt to so rise above,
the bond of Founders Cooper, Coleman, Just, & Love.

This powerful Light, Life, and Love, the Faculty feared,
however, the Noble Founders Uplifted, then Persevered.
From Alpha Chapter to 1914’s Incorporation at Beta,
the expansion was set in motion, and was getting greater.

1920 Kappa Chapter was added at West Virginia Institute,
with leaders in all areas, Omega Psi Phi was the constitute.
From the beginning, Omega’s Fold has produced great Men,
sacrificing much, thus exemplifying the idea of True Friends.

1922 Kappa Chapter was designated to Syracuse University,
upholding the principles despite racial tension and adversity.
After the Depression, Omega’s expansion grew from state to state,
admirably, ‘The Persistent 16’ revitalized Kappa Chapter in 1968.

Now, Omega extends itself across the seas and beyond the world,
universally representing the Founders, living out our 20 Pearls.
In Retrospect, this is a brief summary of our linked beginnings,
moving forward, let us unite collectively to cease any endings.

We are Brothers of a Supreme Fraternity, stand firm with pride,
‘Let Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance, and Uplift be our Guide’.

‘Que Psi Phi 'til the Day I Die, I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT!!!’

‘KRAZY KAPPA CHAPTER!!!’
