They were days of epic dimensions. The city of Syracuse New York was treated to
the return of Kappa Chapter brothers for a reunion and celebration of
Founder's Day. Along with Chi Pi chapter( the graduate Chapter of Syracuse)
and visiting brothers from other chapters it was a celebration for the ages.
Friday was spent greeting returning brothers on the Syracuse University Campus.
The evening was probably the highlight of the weekend as brothers remembered the founders
at a moving ceremony.

Over 50 brothers participated in services taking us through the early history of the
fraternity. This included initiation ritual (circa 1949), and a Memorial service saluting
our departed brothers in Omega Chapter. Brothers renewed themselves by taking the oath,
and rededicated themselves as keepers of the flames of Omega.

Saturday morning found us having breakfast and conducting a workshop of the state of Omega.
The afternoon lent itself to sports in a torrid basketball tornament. Age was served as
our senior brothers took the measure of the youngsters, and beat them handily in two
full courts games.

Saturday evening's dinner fare was a barbeque buffet, and then on to the Carrier Dome
to watch Syracuse lose to Miami in the Homecoming Game. Later that evening we were hosted
at a Que Pajama Jam by our brother Manny Rivera at the Skybarn. A good time was had by all,
although there was culture schock for many of the Older Brothers.
Sunday left saying our good byes, after a weekend spent renewing old acquaintances and
making new friends. Our next reunion is planned for May 3-5 2002 at the 54th
annual Second District Conference.

Some of the goals we intend to accomplish during that time, are to strenghen Kappa Chapter
on the Syracuse University campus, set up a charitable foundation to perpetuate
the academic achievement of Brothers at Syracuse, and to obtain a Fraternity House for the
brothers in the Greater Syracuse Area.

Thanks once again to the brothers of Chi Pi and Kappa Chapters who participated in the
weekend, and thanks to the brothers that were there in spirit.
