Winters Heir. 1) The sky dyes red, The ocean dies bloody. Even the sun is red and weary. It filters through the skeleton trees. The leaves are veins, The trees are bear, The sun is lost. Skeletons are littered as Winters Heir awaits, Tormenting the ground. Summer now slayed - All thats left is winter - But no-one wants it. Birds rarely sing, Trees rarely whisper - They to have nothing left. The ground is wounded and sore. Everything is silent and raw. These are Days of Darkness. 2) Willow they called her, Now shes weeping willow. She sways, shivering in the coldness - Sadness rips at her. Willows mourning loss, Lies servent to the slayed - Buried deep in the aching ground. She stands, lonely, Against Deaths cold Embrace, As the cemetery breathes new life. 3) Winters Heir caresses weeping willow - It wants her, needs her. Willow sighs now, Yearning winters kiss - Wanting to be loved. Dying thorns lie in wait as a crown, And bloodied roses nestle between. Carried graciously by Winters soothing Heir - Thorns laydened there lovingly. 4) Frozen tears seep from willows icy eyes - For she knows she is the Queen of Winter. Folds of ebony drape round her. She, no longer mourning her loss. For she is the Heir of Darkness. The soft wind cradles her. The birds sing their song of soltiude, And the icy land lies in Christendom to Winters soft embrace, And its Queen of weeping wonder. ##################################################################### Bloodied Lust - 29/04/03 ###################################################################### |
