Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.  When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge..I know, dear girl, that you are there...no doubt giving the royal wave to everyone in sight.... There are meadows and hills for all our special friends, plenty of food, water and sunshine and you are warm and comfortable...you are restored to health and vigor and are whole and strong again...you are happy and content, except you miss  us, we who have been left behind... You run and play with friends, but the day will come when you will suddenly stop and look into the distance, your bright eyes intent, your body quivering...you will run from the group, flying over the long, green grass, your legs carrying you faster and faster....I will be there, you and I will finally meet, never to be parted again. Your happy kisses will rain upon my face, I will caress your beloved head, scratch your ears and rub your dear tummy and I will look once more into your vivid blue eyes.. you, who have been so long gone from my life, but never from my heart...you, Conor, Toby and I will be forever together...
