These pages are a tribute to my pets ... past  and present ...
Perhaps it seems foolish to some of you ... but without them at times I would have been lost. They are a very important part of our lives and I believe that children should have the opportunity to have one of their own. They sometimes become our only port in a storm, they listen and do not criticize, they find only love and know not hate....
                                    BARON
This is my faithful and true friend...we have been together through thick and thin. I actually bought this puppy at 5 weeks of age responding to an ad in the paper for German Shepard pups. Later to find he had just a touch of Border Collie mixed in.The only dog I know that you can put in the back of a truck with the  tailgate down and absolutely will not leave it unless its okay...not even when another dog comes around...but he will guard it with his life. Put a steak out on the coffee table...it will be there tomorrow (perhaps well drooled on...but not touched)! He has protected my niece  when off on a stroll with her down the road keeping himself between her and traffic. He has alerted us to fire that would have destroyed our farm by waking  my husband with his continuous barking until he got up to see what was wrong.
A true friend, that can never be replaced. He has a place to rest when the time comes in my gardens where he is happy to just sit and watch while I am working.

We will meet at the 'Rainbow Bridge' my true and faithful friend...
Since the start of this website, on Dec. 19, 2000  my faithful companion was suddenly struck with cancer while traveling home to Michigan for Christmas, we made the decision to put him to sleep while he still had his dignity. He is now resting atop a hill overlooking the gardens and property where he was always happy to be.

These PET PAGES are dedicated in his memory...

THE RAINBOW BRIDGE

There is a bridge connecting heaven and earth. It is called the 'Rainbow Bridge' because of its many colors. Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge there is a land of meadows, hills and valleys with lush green grass.
When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this place. There is always food and water, and warm spring weather. The old and frail animals are young again. Those who are maimed are made whole again. They play all day with each other.
There is only one thing missing. They are not with the special person who loved them on earth. So, each day they run and play until the day comes when one suddenly stops playing and looks up! The nose twitches! The ears are up! The eyes staring! This one suddenly runs from the group!
You have been seen, and when you and your special friend meet again, you take them into your arms and embrace. Your face is kissed again and again, and you look once more into the eyes of your trusting pet.
Then you cross the 'Rainbow Bridge' together, never again to be separated.
