Achievements:

 

 

Attended the “Asia –Pacific Youth Advocacy Workshop” organized by Youth Coalition Canada in collaboration with Network of Asia Pacific Youth from 8th to 13th December in Bangkok Thailand.

 

Participated in the United Nations General Assembly Special Session on Children in New York (5-10 May 2002).

 

Participated in the meeting for developing National Plan of Action as follow up of the UNGASS on Children organized by Government of Pakistan Islamabad. (26-28 June 2002).

 

Participation in Follow up activities of UNGASS on Children organized by Save the Children UK Islamabad (2-3 August 2002).

 

Organized a Group of activists in Peshawar Public School with strong support of Principal Peshawar Public School Warsak Road Peshawar.

 

Activities Organized in the Schools:

 

·                      Universal Children Day (20-11-2002) 

·      Parents Day      (December 2002)

 

Activities Organized in collaboration with NCCR.

 

·                              Imparted training to 100 selected adolescents from fifty communities, selected two adolescents from each community. The following topics were covered.

 

a.       Basic Principals of Human Rights

b.      Child Rights

c.       Self Esteem

d.      Decision Making.

e.       Behavior and Kinds of Behavior.

f.        Contact and Kinds of Contact

g.       Narcotics and effects of drugs.

h.       Conflicts and Conflict Resolution.

i.         Peace and Peace education

j.        Abuse – Kind of Abuse

k.      Effects of Sex abuse.

l.         Prevention of HIV/AIDS

m.     Group Formation

n.       Peer to Peer Education.

 

 

·                              Organized Adolescents groups in 50 communities of North West Frontier Province of Pakistan.

 

·                              Conducted community based researches on the problems faced to adolescents in the North West Frontier Province of Pakistan. The Adolescents’ Groups participated in Focus Group Discussion. Facilitation was made by NCCR activities. Report is to be developed by NCCR.
