| Rebecca's Basketball |
| Rebecca joined the San Marcos Youth Basketball League when Soccer has ended. The season has just ended, with the end of the season party tonight (see pix at bottom of page too). She was on the Jazz Pee Wee Team 5 and is one of 2 girls on the team. Her coach spoke very highly of her from the beginning, & she really enjoyed it. | 12/7/02: Rebecca had her1st game against the Sixers today. This league restarts the scoring at the beginning of each quarter; her team won each quarter. Rebecca played the 1st and 3rd qtrs. Considering that there are only about 3 scored baskets per qtr, Rebecca did great because of 3 shot attempts, she did score once for her team! See some pix from the game!! |

| 12/14/02: Game 2 - The Jazz did very well again, against the Heat. Rebecca made 2 baskets this time and 2 excellent steals which converted into scores. She got to tip off the ball for the beginning of the 2nd qtr too! |

| 1/11/03: Well, Rebecca is getting better at breaking free from a guard, but is allowing the distraction to limit her actual participation in the game. At this game, the boy guarding her was just pestering her so much that she was paying all her attention to him and not the game. She did get a couple of shots off though. |

| 1-25-03: This was a nice game. Rebecca made some good defensive moves - lot of rebounds, passes, an amazing near-steal and one shot/score. |

| 2/1: Rebecca was starting to move around a bit more, made a shot block attempt, but just needs to get more aggressive. |

| 2/8: Missed her game today - had to teach my class. |
| 2/15: Rebecca did very well today - she made many rebounds and put up 4 shots. She had one very good save and a great rebound where she came out of nowhere, grabbed it and made a fastbreak to the other end of the court, passed to her teammate who scored(!) |
