A Comprehensive List of Historic Events and Isle Holidays

Keeping this calendar at hand can ensure that you'll never forget important events, both new for Year Two and to be remembered from Year Past. Certain dates such as those of catastrophic event have been recorded and marked as potential danger dates for Year Two, in case a pattern we've yet to discern emerges.

January:
No documentation available for this edition of the Almanac.

February:
*Eighth, Year One: Lord Axalon Carazzi and crew dock upon Crystal Shores. Met by the Island Elder, Lord Merrick Pryce, negotiations began to bring our people here.
*Fifteenth, Year One: Lord Axalon Carazzi claims the Isle in the name of the House of Carazzi, preparing to sail back to the Mainland and alert his brother Sir Knight Carazzi and those close, that a suitable home has been found.

March:
*First, year Two: The "Night of The Feeding" occurred, leaving 109 dead in the wake of the alignment of the Dwarven and Sharken. On this night, the baby Giant was born and left in the care of the colony.
*Fifteenth through Twenty-First, beginning of Year One: Vessels carrying livestock and trunks began arriving ahead of their owners, bringing what they could to begin life here.

April:
*Third, Year One: Vessels with the first wave of Colonists begin arriving on a desolate beach, in an abandoned port. Among the first wave: Sir Knight Alterio Carazzi II; Lily-Anne St. James; Carina Carazzi; Nimiane and Breuse Carazzi; Bethony Tryst; Jane Maichen; Torlin; Alianna Carazzi; Alex Giovanni; Teiyah; Black Warlock; Vixen Blade; Aemeryllis; Knight Trione; Halfdan the Black; Lyrias Dreams; Nemesio Canales; Claude Torrent. Vessels came in in huge emigrations, but not all citizens lived through the first six months.

*Eighteenth, Year One: The colonists encountered the Isle's Giants and Dwarves; a curse of aging was levied upon infants Nimiane and Breuse Carazzi by the Giants. This horrific display entailed painful contortion of bodies being forced to grow and before our eyes become fully-grown, appearing a human's seventeen or eighteen years old. The curse stopped at this point rather than aging to death due to the quick thinking of the colonists', giving elven blood and reversing what they could, to minimize the damage. Full reverses of the curse proved impossible.

*Twenty-Seventh, Year One: Matriarch Gira Carazzi, mother of Sir Knight Alterio Carazzi, Lady Alianna Carazzi, Captain Anthony Carazzi and Guildmaster Axalon Carazzi, passed away. She was the first colonist whose corpse was interred in the Volcano.

*Thirtieth, Year One: The Sharken appear for the first time. These horrendous, 3/4-shark, 1/4 man (or any fraction inbetween) who feast on Isle people showed how much of a threat they could be.

May:
*First, Year One: The Knights of the Crimson Tide, Crystal Shores Order, was established and incorporated by Knight Trione.

*Second, Year One: The first and only to date recorded suicide in the Silver Seaport Colony: Alex Giovanni drives a dagger through his heart outside the Pleasuredome. The aftermath of his death and the realization of the frailty of life is predominant on the colonists for months to come.

*Sixth, Year One: The Bayside Bazaar's First Shops open, including "The Village Idiot", "Vixen Blade's Clothing Boutique" and "Al's Meat Market." Many more followed, most meeting with success. Some fell in their first few months and were foreclosed upon.

*Fourteenth, Year One: A large Sea Serpent attacked some exploring colonists, actually swallowing one of the humans whole. Mermaids and mermen attempted to help but were largely unsuccessful until the Titan of the Sea, the King Supreme Serpent, emerged and choked the rogue Serpent to near death. The colonists then sliced open the fallen serpent and retrieved their comrade, who miraculously, lived to tell about it.

*Twenty-First, Year One: The colonists still continued to test the Unknown; this time, relying upon a legend told by one of the native elves, that dead can sometimes be risen using the Isle's Volcano. It worked. The ashes of a colonist's uncle were brought in by those who joined the excursion and physically climbed into the volcano; magics and other skills combined, the ashes swirling and then a body reanimating. A wild yet dangerous feat accomplished.

June:
*First, Year One: The Foundling Home officially opens its doors as caretakers for shipwrecked, abandoned and orphaned children.

*Eleventh, Year One: The Sharken return and attack some of the more prominent colonists, beginning to spread what turned out to be a temporary ailment, sickness, rather than the dreaded, speculated and feared disease of rot and metamorphosis into Sharken. The Sharken were beaten back this time.
