Life begins, life ends. We all die someday, and it is in a thoughtful person's power to ease their survivors' responsibility during times of grief.
Show your loved ones how much you care by pre-funding your own memorial service. We cannot dig for a cemetery due to our location, nor are mausoleums permitted.. there is too much chance of our dead's bodies being defiled and robbed. With these limitations stated, here are the three legal ways of disposing of remains in Crystal Shores:
*Interment in the Volcano
*Burning upon funeral pyres on the beach, scattering ashes into the wind
..and..
*Burning upon wooden pillars in caves, allowing the body to smolder to bits of charred bone and ashen flesh.
None of this is pleasant to think about, but it is our job to provide this service that is inevitable. With this in mind, our price lists are as follows.
Corpse Preparation
From death of natural causes or sudden death, our employees will wash and groom your expired loved one, dressing him or her in funeral garb, and lie them upon a silken blanket in your home or their Viewing Parlor. Light refreshments will be served, season permitting. (In summer this nicety is revoked, because the bodies tend to begin to stink and rot quickly.) A neutral priest is brought in to speak, and a harpist plays a piece of song in honor of the departed. This service is 500 gp.
From death of natural causes or sudden death, the washing, grooming and dressing takes place, but with no viewing. This is best if the deceased had been ill for some time, or if the survivors think it best to inter the body sooner rather than later. This service is 150 gp.
From death of injury or accident, our employees will wash, groom, and attempt to mask the damage to the body. If this is not possible, or if too little is left for the dead to be recognized, the body shall be wrapped in a satin shroud and placed inside a cedar casket. (Pine also assists the body in burning quickly and evenly.) The refreshments and harpist are included in this package. This service is 750 gp.

Wooden urns: 25 gp
Steel urns(insect-proof): 40 gp
Silver plated urns: 60 gp
Golden urns: 100 gp
Platinum urns with pearl-faced locks: 200 gp.
Additional Services
Stone monuments, perfect for placing in the garden of your home in memoriam of the dead, are available at prices ranging from 50 to 5,000 gp. From the simple marker to the ornate, engraved statue, we cater to special orders and deliver. There is a 25% discount for prepaid monuments.
Floral arrangements are contracted through local shoppes with a 10% markup to the customer, which covers our costs as well.
Signature Journals, bound parchments with leather covering, to allow the bereaved's friends to write their condolences at the viewing, are available, with prices ranging from 5 to 50 gp. Quills are included.
Religious Icons, carvings of the Deceased's patron God, are available. They stand one foot high and are hand cut from bamboo, painted in elaborate detail. They are sold for 100 gp each.
