This 'tis my first entry in here. I'm not sure what to write. I have been here a few weeks now and visited Pleasure Dome a few times. I am not use to a lot of people being around so I have pretty much stayed away from there. But I really havent had anyone to talk to since I arrived here and wish for someone to talk to. I may visit there tonight, maybe its really not so bad.

Dear Journal;
Let's see, dear .. and shall we get you 'up to speed' on what is happening? yes we shall. Well now seems I have caused a stir again. How unlike me... well ok, so I do it all the time... but I have an excuse; that being I'm a Morgan. And .. failing that, well... female. And well, that should be enough for anyone.
Anyway, so much has happened, where should I start?
I came back after a lengthy absense to find myself embroiled in the center of conflict once again, and this time I didnt even mean to be involved.
First, I guess I will start with my personal life. And dear Journal, with Ben... Well let's see...When I left last, Ben told me he and Alianna were thru. He assured me of it and well, I admit I entertained the thought for some time as to potential of any type with him. We talked about it too. But nothing was set in stone, or would be either. First of all, I dont move that fast. So we talked and drank and flirted and talked some more. And when he asked me if I needed a place to stay and offered his guest rooms I took him up on it. And in the middle of talking with him, Alianna walks in. Oh boy. We were just talking .. innocently flirting a bit... but then it started to feel wrong... And let me tell you, I felt none too innocent, when it finally dawned on me things were not as over as I had been told. Well, I never confronted him about it. And I havent spoken to her yet but I am sure we will eventually talk it thru. I dont dislike Alianna, I never have. I think she thinks I do and am somehow determined to interfere with her. I'm not. BUT it always seems to turn into something other than what I intend. And truth is I still like Ben in spite of himself.
So .. having explained that, and not wishing to be in the middle, I have most talentedly wrangled myself out of the frying pan.. and into the fire. I moved in to the Carazzi Manor today. I did so for a few reasons, in order to accomplish a few things. And well, I think everything will work out, one way or another.
And that leads me to another issue: business ventures. I have been coerced into taking up a partnership with Alterio to become the Island's marriage broker. I wont say much about this, other than I signed the contract and am under obligation for a trial period. I have 30 days. And well...I am not going to say much about him, either. Perhaps another time, after people have had a chance to speculate and gossip.. cuz I do know people do so love to speculate and gossip.
I am also considering other things as well, during this trial period. But I wont comment on that here either... till perhaps later.
Oh... and I own a house... without a roof! her ladyship of the slums... heh.... gawds... I have yet to figure out what I will do with it. Oh well..
Anyway I think that's it for now... maybe I will write more later as I am planning a small trip to Kate's to speak with her on a few things. And perhaps bring Christopher back with me.
It will indeed prove interesting.... till then...

*The Elf paces a bit before sitting down with a quill to write. He furrows his brow, once more trying to will the words onto the parchment before him...when this fails, he, frowning, sets the quil to parchment and begins to write*
Bah....robbed of gems. That's what the sign read. Bah. And a bluidy hell at that, too. And here I was...sruck from above by inspiration as to a gift for my darling, dearest heart...a chuisle mo croí...*he sighs* I'll have to speak with M'Lady Vixen, then. Confirm all this..see if aught can be done...yes, that's what I'll do.
Ah, but I complain so, neh? And you my inanimate friend, you've not been written in for some time. I apologize...
M'heart returned this past week from her abscense, she did, and a brighter day I couldn't begin to imagine....which means I'll have to broaden my limits of comprehension if I'm to wed, neh? She got me such a beautiful gift, too...*he looks at the ring for long moments, reminded of her e'er so much...sighing, he begins to write again* She stokes the flame inside me, my friend...and we are One, you know....a beaconfire, burning brighter than all, one stoked with every kiss, every touch, every gaze and murmur and whisper and heartbeat and breath....yes, indeed...a beaconfire...
And what else is there to write about, after such, hm?
Well, there is this, I must tell you: I've not seen my friend Calhin in some time. I do hope he's alright. I'll have to speak with others...
...and though it seems unimportant, I was clled 'Closemouth'....am I too quiet to suit others? Should a bard not sing and tell tales and recite poetry to entertain others? Perhaps some are right...bards are to be heard, and not seen. But no, I'd not believe in nor adhere to that...yes, it must merely be some taciturness..though how one would correct that, I know not, nor do I believe I would wish to.
Bah....so many random thoughts in one place...I apologize again, oh friend, oh parchment of mine...I'll not put more than the usual daily load upon your leather-bound shoulders any more, if 'tis any consolation...though I should soon use one of your brethren to compose a note to Ara...must set a date, you know...Betrothal...oh, but the mere joyous thought....
Slán, my friend..you've taken your share of ink for the day...
*in his sinous, flowing script, he signs 'Sylverleaf'*

::::Over what seems to human counterparts an endless expanse of years, an elf goes through many changes. Being 128 years of age, Lyrias senses one of those changes coming. After what seems too short a period of time, she feels the urge to settle down. Of course, the person she has chosen isnt well thought of by one of the most adored people in her life, Her Uncle. Even though he means the world to her, and more, she simply cant grasp why he is against something that makes her happy. Yes; true; Taelie isnt always there, but, that doesnt lessen her feelings for him. She has found the one other elf that allows her to be herslef. The one who doesnt judge her, or try to control her. Simply, he loves her, and she him. The only thing holding her back is keeping the harmony she needs between her Uncle and Taelie. If it is disrupted then not only will her Uncle become angry again, but, she will lose another very important link in her life. Her beloved neice Thirlia. With so many things against her, she cant find a way to keep them all, and begins to write a letter to her Uncle.::::
Dearest Uncle,
I have a few things I have wanted to talk to you about, and, seeing as to how yoru hardly around when I am, this was the only way I could pose them to you.
I know you love me, you, may never say it, but, all the same, I know. Ive only just begun to tell you that I love you, though, Im sure you knew. I understand that the things you do, you do for my own good. To protect me. I understand that you have my best interests in mind when you do something.
I've watched so many women hurt you..and I dont say a word, because at the time, you seem to not want any other thing, than that person near you. I've seen the wounds they leave, though, not visible to the eye. I see them. Ive seen you with the children, when you are at your best. I've seen you involved in so many scrapes, and worried so about your saftey. I've seen you at your worse. I've even seen the softer side of you, that so many havent. Ive seen the hardest, and coolest man on the Isle, all in the same body. Ive seen the most determined, and hard headed man I have ever met in my life. And, by-the-by, I still love him. Even despite all our differences, and we do have them, I still adore you. I doubt anything could change that.
You are my Knight in Shining Armor, Uncle Alterio.
Love,
Lyrias
:::sighing, she decides the letter better left undelivered, and folds it, tucking it away somewhere, maybe for a later time.:::

And I look over to Sylver..
He stands aside me, with light from over the hills that drapes itself carefully over the fields, to caress his face and cast depth into his almond shaped eyes. The wind's picked up some, I feel the warmth of his fingers surround my smaller hand, moving his hair to shield his brow, a sense of solemnity etched against the words left unspoken on his lips.. He's beautifully slender, arched like a willow, delicate and agile; rises from the grasses, his movement flowing in nearly the same dance. A moment, both our eyes closed and we can hear thunder rumbling in the far distance that begins to send that earthy, electric smell of rain. He offers me a smile, that same smile that lights the nights when they stretch too long and sets the butterflies to move within me. He is the flame that sets singemarks on my tabletops, burns through parchment when I'm reading. He bends to kiss me softly, I smell forest, and sky, and something gentle I can't put my finger on...I pulled back to smile up at him, seeing the monarch had risen, kissed his temple and moved to be caught up in a wind and carried off..

"she climbs out of the tub and wraps a towel around her, her third bath since coming home last night, soaking in lavender scented water for hours and she can still smell the odor of those whores she passed last night..she grabs her journal and heads out to the balcony, leaving the door open to air out the room"
Tis horrible that you can still smell them hours later. I wish I had not came home last night. Heading back to dome I saw three dock whores heading to the manor. Gods I could smell them before they ever came into my sight. The cheap perfume, body odor and well being with one customer after another all day long, You would think they would bathe. How the hell does Alterio stand their odor? "gags as her stomach turns over again, still can smell it after hours of bathing" I stripped my clothes off at the door last night and ordered them to be burned.
I swear if one of the girls at the Escort service came in smelling of cheap perfume and well.... Id fire them on the spot and kick their ass all the way to the docks. Tis no wonder most of the men on the Isle dont go to the whores at the docks. No matter how desperate they might be, they get a smell of one of them, they wouldnt be able to perform.
The Manor is looking more like a cheap brothel than a home that has small children living there. And Jane is thinking of taking her baby there. They will all grow up thinking thats the way they are suppose to live. Being a whore or a womanizer. The children arent so stupid that they dont see things and they definitely cant avoid the odor after a whore has been in the house.
Gods Im glad Alkane isnt around that daily. I just wish Mia wasnt but there isnt much I can do about that. I dont want him growing up thinking thats the way he is suppose to be. I want a normal life for him. Get married, have children and put them first and not his phallus. Maybe he will be disgusted enough by the way his father lives, he wont want to be like him. But then again, he will still have that legacy to have to live down.
"shakes her head wondering what kinda life she has brought these children into"
