Cub Scout Organization
National to District
The Largest geographical tier is the National Counsel.  The United States Congress chartered it nearly a hundred years ago.  The National Council is responsible for creating the materials and guidelines for scouting all over United States.  They publish the books and materials; determine the official uniform and so on.
With in the national council there are regional councils.  Ours', The Southern Region, spans Florida to Texas and reaches as far north as Virginia.  With in those regional councils we have smaller councils still.  We belong to the North Florida Council.  Its' Headquarters is located on the corner of Lane Ave and Edgewood 3Ave.  The next division, nearly the size of a county, is the district.  Ride Out Elementary falls with in the Black Creek District.

Pack 377
At the pack level we have several components.  First is the Chartering Organization.  It is an organization that is interested in the well being of youth.  They hold a charter with the Boy Scouts of America that is renewed every year in February.  The charter is basically an agreement that the church will provide a meeting place for the scouts.
The Chartering Organization Representative, Arthur Sims, is a member of the Vineyard church and runs the youth program with in the church.  His job is to act as a liaison between the pack and the church.
Arthur has a second position as well, the Committee Chair.  In short the Committee chair runs the committee meetings and has final say in all decisions with in the pack.  The Committee consists of a group of adults that have concern with youth and the operation of the pack.  For more detailed descriptions refer to our website, under the link "pack organization"
The next and last position is the Cubmaster, Justin Chene.  The Cubmaster runs the pack meetings and is a go between for the dens and pack committee.

Refer to the Pack Organization Chart

Dens
Dens are the smallest division of scouting.  They generally consist of five to eight boys.  In charge of the den are a Den leader and one or more Assistant Den Leaders.  Both positions are uniformed, registered and trained leaders.  Other adult positions with in a den may include: Music Coordinator, Historian, Secretary or whatever the Den leader and parents think are necessary.
In addition to adult leaders there are three leadership positions available for the boys.  The highest is the Den Chief.  He is Boy Scout that is provided by a Boy Scout Troop to assist in the operation of den meetings.  The next positions are the Denner and Assistant Denner.  Boys in the den fill these positions and are also there to help the leaders with the meetings.  Your den will have to decide how they are selected.

Tiger Cub Den
Tiger Cub dens have a different structure.  In Tiger Cub dens the position of Assistant Den Leader is replaced with the hosting adult partner. Also there is no requirement for a den chief with in the den.  Another critical difference between Tiger dens and the others is Tiger Cubs must have an Adult Partner present with every activity and event.
