Web Pages
A Web Page is an HTML (Hypertext
Markup Language) file containing special formatting codes that are
interpreted and displayed by a Web Browser. Web pages are accessed from a Web
Site.
Characteristics:
- Typically, the first page on a Web site is referred as the
home page.
- The home page presents information about the
site and may contain references to other documents or sites called hyperlinks.
- Hyperlinks may connect to text files, graphic images,
audio, video, or any other resources.
- Web pages can contain links to special programs called applets
written in a programming language called Java.
- Applets can provide animation, graphics, interactive games
and more.
