 Hunter and Stripe are best friends and do everything together, including getting in trouble, but when Hunter decides to be his "best self," Stripes follows his lead.

Ira is going to spend the night with his friend Reggie. Everything is fine until Ira's sister mentions his teddy bear. Throughout the story, Ira changes his mind several times about whether or not he should take. Ira finally decides not to take his stuffed animal. When he and Reggie are finally getting into bed, Reggie pulls gets out his teddy bear. Ira goes home and returns with his bear.
 This story shows children how friend should and shouldn't act.
 Swimmy is a great story about how friends should work together.
 Even though his friends don't do as Mr. Gumpy asks, and they end up tripping over his boat, Mr. Gumpy invites his friends to take another boat ride with him. Mr. Gumpy is a true friend.

Math Activities for Valentine's:
* Give each child a small box or a handful of Conversation Hearts. Have them sort and then graph by the different colors.
* Measure length using Conversation Hearts.
* Make a pattern using Conversation Hearts.

Predictable sentences:

My friends are (characteristic-nice, funny, sweet, etc.)
