Numbers


* To start off this unit ask the students to list all the places that they see numbers. (For example, clock, telephone, computer, ruler, calendar, board games, etc.)
* Have the students list the different uses of numbers.(height, weight, age, address, time, phone number, birthdate, calendar)
* Sing "Hickory Dickory Dock," "One, Two, Buckle My Shoe," and "The Number Rock."

Ask the children to make the numbers with their bodies.
Or ask them to create a number using their body and a partner's body.




Comparison study of different versions of the story "Ten in the Bed"



After reading these stories, have the students act out "Ten in the Bed."
