Books as Presents

As an educator I know that books make the best presents. Here are some of my favorite books to give at baby showers, for a young child's birthday, or for no reason at all.

Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown A great rhyming book.	Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? by Bill Martin Jr. A book with a simple pattern that children can pick up easily and repeat with you.	Pat the Bunny by Dorothy Kunhardt A touch and feel book for young children.	The Napping House by Audrey Wood A book with a pattern that grows each time you turn the page.
Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day by Judith Viorst	You Are Special by Max Lucado A fabulous book with religious undertones to encourage children to feel special.	Guess How Much I Love You by Sam McBratney	The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle
My First Colors Board Book	The Going to Bed Book by Sandra Boynton	Mr. Brown Can Moo, Can You by Dr. Seuss	Ten Little Ladybugs
Moo, Baa, LA LA LA by Sandra Boynton	Barnyard Dance! by Sandra Boynton	The Foot Book by Dr. Seuss A wacky book of opposites and fun rhymes.	But Not the Hippopotamus by Sandra Boynton A funny rhyming book.
