We are different. We are the same.
These books show the differences in everyone. They let the children know that its okay to be short, have big hair, or even to "have wheels."

The best way to get kids to see that we are all different colors (not black and white) is to ask them to color a picture of their classmates using multicultural crayons. The kids start to notice that they are all are darker than white and lighter than black.
Students need to be taught to respect people with disabilities. As teachers, we have an obligation to teach our students about people who have physical or mental limitations.
