I did it. Shezumi will be happy with me. Nice. Shezumi being happy is always nice. Ivo glanced at the dragon laying bloated on his couch. So... Zkoth. You and I will be friends. Will we? Ah. I see. Is that how you think it will go? What if I do not want to be your friend? "Then I shall take you to the infirmary and dissect you," Ivo suggested. With red swirling eyes, Zkoth snarled at his bond. You would never be able to do that. I am strong and now that I have eaten, you know I will... "You'll what, you'll sleep. That is what you want to do, little dangerous hatchling. And you want me to scratch your skin. You didn't like it when I had my claws out, now did you?" This is ... different. It is an itch. You wanted to scratch me open before. Ivo looked with deep love at the Night Bronze dragon. He surely was the most beautiful creature he'd ever seen, and that was saying something, since he'd been around. Been around what? |

Background by me! | |||||||||||||||||||||||
Ivo and Zkoth slunk around the grounds while the dragon's wing healed. It had been more of a fight than an accident, this big black-bronze weyrling dragon going head to head with a fully grown brown. Ivo refused to think that his dragon would LOSE to any challenge, and that thought was pretty well echoed in the bronze-darkling. He was in my way. And the way he looked at me. His rider did not think that we dark and lights are normal. He wasn't from this Weyr, obviously, Ivo told the dragon. Ivo's medical training lent him a huge leg up on learning about dragon-healing, so his fine stitchwork on the sail of the ripped wing wouldn't even leave a scar. "He should think twice about reassigning somewhere else." I do not like idiots, the dragon thought. "I have no tolerance for them either," Ivo patted the bronze-black. "Is it too much to ask that someone think you're bronze first? Besides," he leaned back and rubbed more oil on the dragon's neck, "you're going to be the best fighting dragon in the world. I've been studying up on it..." I will learn how to flame things from you, won't I? Ivo laughed. |

Zkoth flew high and looked at the land below them. It is very far to fall, Ivo. Do you not think that what you are doing is stupid? Remember what you say about stupidity! "I need to find out if these straps wouldn't be best underneath!" Ivo yelled, with the wind blowing over his head and whipping his long hair around. He of course flew without any other riding gear than his spiffy black and bronze colored leather jacket -- courtesy of the really great dyers in Dawnlight. But Ivo, you are not hanging on very tightly. Do not fall. "Don't -- worry!" Ivo said, and slipped right out of the harness. His scream was powerful, and more of a yeowling yodel than anything else. Zkoth's sharp eyesight made out the furry tail that had sprung out from Ivo's butt. As if turning into a feline will help you land on your feet, at this height. The dragon chuffled. He waited a good few more moments before diving down to retrieve his idiot rider. |
