Mel Gibson was my neighbor for two weeks the spring of 2000 when he filmed the romantic comedy, "What Women Want." His advertising executive character in the film called my Lincoln Park condo home. You see the building designed by Mies van der Rohe in the photo to the right. The building was lit up the last night of shooting for Mel's farewell scenes with Marissa Tomei. -- Carolyn Daily O'Connor original photos and story copyright May 2000 [e-mail me by clicking at top of page for permission to use photos.]
