Danielle Muad'Dib began her dancing career at the age of four in various dance schools. By seven she was accepted by the University of Akron's dance institute, which is the home of the incomparable Ohio Ballet. After many vigorous hours and years of Russian and American technique, pointe, modern and jazz, Danielle was introduced into the theater by her artistically talented Egyptian mother who, at the time, was a well known costume designer throughout Northeastern Ohio's many theaters. Danielle spent many years performing in regional and national community and professional venues. Also active in film, she has been seen on HBO, Independent Film Channel, regional commercials and in many NYCAFF entries.

Her Egyptian/Lebanese background had inspired her to go back to her roots many years ago and apply her love for performing and dance to her true passion; Middle Eastern dance or "belly dance". Danielle is self taught, along with learning from wonderful instructors in Arizona from the Middle East. She also credits Aegela, Jasmin Jahal, Najwa al Karam and of course the inspiration of her dance FiFi Abdou. Being a constant student is what she says helps her create new techniques and keeps her style invigorating, as well as keeping the dance true to its form.

"I started at the very bottom, I quit my well paying job to take classes full time. I was eating Ramen noodles and belly dancing until five in the morning. I danced at every hafli, restaurant, backyard I could. This was to be my life! I knew it. I grew up listening to the haunting and exciting music of the East...and somewhere in the folds of my heart there was a door.. I just didn't get the key until I was twenty. Now, at twenty-six, I gave up a 'good job' to have my own studio, I have sixty-five plus wonderful, insightful, beautiful students, I have performed all over the States and it just keeps growing and growing."

Danielle performs with the internationally known band "Stars of the East" whose singer is an accomplished and acclaimed performer Tony Mikeal from Lebanon. This year she has plans to travel to Istanbul, Paris and Cairo to perform.

The style that she has created within herself is like no other, you can see that it is her life and her true love.

"The day I no longer dance, is the day I no longer breathe."
