born on 5th June 1937, was the Chief Technician and Head of Technical Section of the Archaeology Department, University of Ghana from 1985 to 1997.
He thought the B.A Part II practicals in Conservation of Archaeological Materials,Photography and Folk Life. He also thought Photography to Science Laboratory technicians and Post- graduate students in the School of Communication Studies, University of Ghana-Legon
Currently on retirement but takes similar responsiblities in the Archaeology Department on Part-time.
From 1964 to 1969 he worked with the Department of Social Welfare and Community Development in the Northern and Eastern Regions of Ghana. He then joined the Department of Archaeology, University of Ghana in 1970 till he resigned in 1997.
He obtained the Musuem Association Certificate - London in 1975 at the Durham University, England. Whilst studying in the UK he was the Site Conservator at the Jarrow Carlier and Durham City Excavation.
S A Dankwa is the promotor and main organiser of the Apea Dankwa Family Award for the Best Social Policy Student in the School of Social Work- Osu, This award commensed in 2003 and it is hoped to be a strong boaster to professionals interested in Social Policy and graduates from the school of Social Work- Osu
