Back in the 70's, The Pigeon Loft used to be called The Pylon Cafe in much the same way that In Sickness and In Health used to be called Till Death Us Do Part, and Parkinson used to be called Aspel.
Sadly, many of the classic moments from The Pylon Cafe were wiped forever by the BBC, out of mean, callous spite. This means we can no longer view such memorable pieces of work as "Salter's Reinterpretation Of The Crucifixion Of Jesus In Puppet Form", or the fondly-remembered "Interview With Ted Rogers About Life After His Dog Died".

Fortunately, however, thanks to the hard work and patience of a small group of dribbling nutters, a few of The Pylon Cafe's golden moments have been uncovered and lovingly restored so that we can all sit back and ponder about how much better it used to be in the good old days, before the rot set in. Enjoy!
