Kashen Campaign

Dungeons & Dragons

My Kashen campaign began in the winter of 1992 and ran for approximately 8 years until the advent of 3rd edition D&D.  I didn't want to convert everything from second edition rules so I shelved the campaign.

The Kashen campaign was loosely based on medieval Scotland prior to any Roman incursions.  The country was held by many warring clans.  The picts, who were around prior to the rise of the clans, only held power in the more remote regions.  The campaign had a number of unique features including a revised magic system with both pictish magic (elemental) and faerie magic.

Originally, the campaign began in the Borders region, where there were 4 rival clans vying for power.  They  were Maxwell, Douglas, Stewart, and Ross.  Over time the action moved north into the Highlands and then over to the Isle of Skye. I borrowed from many sources when putting together the campaign.
