Kieren and Hendel meet some Faerie folk at the stone circle in Glen Bruichaich. Kieren plays superb music for the faeries and accompanies it with a phantasmal force spell to provide visuals. The faeries are impressed. A sidhe named Brook (Ken’s PC) befriends Kieren and offers to assist him in rescuing his daughter from Clan MacLeod on the Isle of Skye. Brook, Kieren, and Hendel rejoin the party at their campsite in the morning. Hendel is heavily intoxicated from drinking mead all night long. Hendel falls asleep and won’t rouse. Lianna casts levitate on Hendel, attaches a line around his waist and hauls him along like a helium balloon.

The party heads SW from the glen to the foothills where the Corrimony Cairn lies. A quick examination of the Cairn reveals that it has been opened. Footprints are seen leading in and. Tarl, Gudrum, Kieren, Lianna, and Rhyawdd enter the Cairn to explore. Tarl turns skeletons and one of them explodes. Shortly afterwards the party is attacked by an invisible menace with sharp small blades. Tarl goes down early to a sleep-poisoned blade. The others fight undead and the invisible monsters. Outside, the remaining party members are attacked with magic. During the battle the upper level of the Cairn fills with heavy fog. From the mist a spectral hand appears and attacks Rhyawdd and renders him blind. The party defeats all the skeletons and zombies on the upper level. Two of the invisible foes are killed, although only one body is recovered. Liothien and Brook forget what has happened. Things look good until 4 shadows show up and begin attacking. The party falls back outside of the Cairn. Prior to that Gudrum loots the invisible creature’s lair and finds a bag of potions, coins, and gems.

Gudrum uses an elixir of healing he found to wake Tarl and cure Rhyawdd’s blindness. Gudrum drinks a healing potion he found to heal himself! Gudrum tastes another potion (glibness?) and gives it to Lianna. Gudrum tastes blade venom and saves. Gudrum tastes animal control potion and decides to keep it.

Lianna casts wraithform on herself and re-enters Cairn to explore it. She descends far staircase to lowest level and encounters a zombie with a staff, bracers, and Ioun stone circling its heads. The Zombie points at Lianna utters an incantation and blasts her with 5 magic missiles. She promptly flees..

The party retreats to Glen Bruichaich to rest and heal up overnight. Brook speaks with the Sidhe elders and learns that the undead spell-caster is either a lich or a necromancer with a Corpse visage spell cast upon himself . The Sidhe elders give Brook a scroll of protection from Undead for the party to use. They tell Brook to exercise caution and return for help if necessary. Brook learns that the invisible menaces are Quicklings.
