"Masterfully written and utterly fascinating fantasy
with a superb plot and character cast
that will keep you up well
    past bedtime, yearning for more!"

    "Simply charming!"
General Greywolf leads a cast of 'a thousand' intriguing and endearing creatures (mostly elves)
in a war against the Evil Dark Lord who is set on invading the idyllic land of Tir-na-nog.
When the charming Goddess Diana enters the scene, Greywolf loses his heart even as he
wins battles. If you loved Flash Gordon, the movie, and enjoy mythology as much as romance,
then let Dark Lord enchant you. I was highly entertained and found myself charmed
by a certain Pegasus. The book itself is presented beautifully, with illustrations
and a great amount of information.

Readers of quality fantasy take note:
Dark Lord, the new epic fantasy from Writer's Showcase
is a sweeping adventure that contains in equal measures tragedy and triumph,
treachery and justice, death and rebirth, villainy and heroism, magic and brute
force, war and peace. Readers of Dark Lord will find themselves firmly engaged
in a war between two worlds — between humans and the fey — but as in all such things
the lines separating one from the other is often blurred. A sweeping back-story lifts
this novel above others in its class, and treats the reader to a rich universe
containing elves, dwarves, fearies, dragons, winged horses, gods and goddesses,
    and more.
David M. Rountree (Greywolf the Wanderer) and Diana Sinclair (The Goddess Diana) write
with an engaging and fast-paced style that grips you from the first paragraph and
puts you inside the skin of the characters themselves. While kings and kingdoms
fall you will experience the pain of death and the bitter-sweet uncertainty of
budding love, the heat of hand-to-hand combat and the wonder of powerful magic, the pain of burying loved-ones and the joy of celebrating victory hard-won.
I recommend Dark Lord without reservation.

Move over Tolkien! Greywolf and the Goddess Diana are here!
I just finished this mind-bending rocket ride called 'Dark Lord,' and I
must say this was the biggest surprise this year. I must confess that I
have never heard of David Rountree (Greywolf the Wanderer) or Diana Sinclair
(Goddess Diana) but I certainly hope I hear more from them in the future.
Their work here is in a class by itself. Not a rehash of the same old tales
retold over and over, Dark Lord reveals a unique insight into a world of Myth
and Legend. The dialogue is so masterfully written that I felt I was
conversing with the heroes. I laughed, I worried, I cried throough the
journey, as characters developed into near family status with me.
The ending is so powerful, it took me several hours to recover. A
masterpiece of fantasy. This was ultimately the best fantasy story
    I have read in years.

An Epic Tale of High Adventure!, May 24, 2001
This is the HOT Fantasy novel of the year! If you like adventure,
you will love Dark Lord. This tale of war and romance takes you through
the struggles of not just one, but many of the characters as they cope
with facing a seemingly unstoppable foe. The insights into the characters
is in depth and revealing in very direct as well as subliminal ways. The
dialogue is believable, and entertaining. It is a book that will pull
every emotional response from you, with each paragraph you read. A truely
magnificent work! Hats off to Greywolf and Diana!

A future Classic of its genre!
DARK LORD can be genre-fied as a la Tolkien, but only for now. In time,
as more people read this richly satisfying novel and talk about it, many
a new Fantasy author's work will be tagged as "a la Greywolf and Goddess
Diana." I am an author and publisher, with many years experience in the
field, and the last time I had such an enjoyable, lengthy reading experience
was when I read DUNE, more than a decade ago. I would recommend that
readers who purchase DARK LORD, contact the authors for an autographed
copy ...as I have done. I stand by my comment as to that DARK LORD is
a future Classic which will set a standard by which new Fantasy novels
will be judged, and will boldly sign my full name to my review:
