Appearance: Cinaess is kind of small and kind of pudgy. His skin is the scaly grayish-brown color of a crocodile, and his somewhat blunt muzzle, though a bit more like a zebra’s in appearance, is quite strong and filled with a multitude of very large, pointy teeth. He has a long, thick tail that’s covered with a thin layer and black and white fur, and it’s tipped by a tuft of black fur on the end. He has the long, erect ears of a zebra as well, and his somewhat short, stiff hair is black-and-white-striped too. He has hazelly green eyes with a bit of gold in them, and otherwise is human in shape.
Personality: Mean and petty, Cinaess used to have a very bad habit of bullying other children when he was younger. He has since mostly gotten over it, but it still shows itself from time to time. He has a short temper and his sense of humor is biting and sarcastic. He can be quite outgoing when he wants to, however, and he still manages to make a few friends. He’s not really particular friendly or social, but he’s not reclusive or a loner either. People are just there, and he interacts with them or not as he feels like it.
Past: Cinaess is from the planet of Athanasia, in the distant past when the Meera still lived on the planet and the halfling clans were just beginning to split away from the purebred humans. He’s a second-generation clansman, his parents being part-crocodile for one and part-zebra for the other. His clan was mainly hunter-gatherers who traveled around a lot and fought almost constantly with the human tribes. He was a bit of a bully when he was a child, but around the time he Impressed Eriath, this had been beaten out of him for the most part. A mistake in teleportation took the searchriders into his time period of Athanasia, and they took him back with them.

Personality: Eriath has been the biggest influence on Cinaess, both for good and for bad. She is generally smooth-tempered and calm, and with her influence, Cinaess has developed a cooler temper and more outgoing disposition. She is a Queen, though, and she has a touch of arrogance and self-importance. She is stubborn and unbending, and she will not stop for anything, until she gets her way. She refuses to accept any criticism for her choices, and this, too, Cinaess has picked up from her.
