Appearance: Rahel is a slight, shorter-than-average woman, but she has an intimidating presence. Her skin is often deeply tanned, and her dark brown hair usually hangs around her shoulder blades in slight waves. Her eyes are a deep brown, only a view shades lighter than her hair.
Personality: Often short and to the point, Rahel tends to be short-tempered and impatient. She always makes sure things get done, and can be rather pushy, often making others upset with her. However, she always means well, and ultimately, has others' prosperity in mind.
Past: It's completely unknown where Rahel came from before stumbling upon Darkling Dawn. She's been traveling with Ean for several years at least, though what the exact relationship between the two is, no one is quite sure. Her queen is of pure Pernese origin, so it's obvious she must have visited the Old World at one point, but she doesn't say where she was born and grew up, and she seems to originally come from a different world than Pern.
