|a little bit of history
About 1982 a group of 'mature' rugby players in Darwin decided they would like to attend the Golden Oldies Festival in Sydney. They rounded up a bunch of like minded souls and off they went. They had such a good time they've been going ever since.
Between tours they play a few games as an excuse to drink, visit other Golden Oldies in the Territory, attend the Alice Masters every two years and engage in a fairly vigorous social life.
Membership is open to everybody with an interest in social rugby. Players should at least APPEAR TO BE over 35.

|The name of the team derives from a two litre bottle of beer that once was brewed in Darwin It is customary to share a bottle (or two) with the competition before the game.|
