How it was: I purchased my Dart back in June of 2000. I found it in the back woods of Indiana and when I first laid eyes on it, I knew I would have it.The car was from California and still has the California emmisions sticker in the window. The car belonged to one owner an nice little old lady who has since passed away, which is why I ended up with the car.It started it's life as B5 Blue with blue interior equipped with a 225 slant six engine and a Chysler solid state AM radio Whooooohoooo!Various dents and dings were found on the car. The brake lines were shot and the exhaust manifold was cracked. The 1/4 panels were shot, the paint was faded and rust could be found on the typical Mopar places due to the fact that it spent the last few years of it's life in the back woods exposed to the elements. We had to rent a trailor to get it home. Since then it has begun to slowly transform and take new shape.1/4 panels were replaced, interior was changed to black (soon to be yellow and black) dings were pulled and fixed and the paint was changed to FY1 Lemon Twist with a blackout hood and dual scoops (thanks to a buddy of mine who scored those) Thanks Mark! New raised white letter Hoosier tires replace the old dry rotted ones that were on it. Plans for a built 360 are under way and should be complete by next year (again thanks Mark) I like to hang out at Mopar Alley in the Mopar chat channel. You will find a great group of people there with vast knowledge of the mighty Mopar, not to mention a great group of people in general.Stop on in and say hello sometime, we promise to be a little nice to you :) Any questions or comments? Please email me. Thanks for visiting my site. |
