Muck and bullets aside, the man acted his heart out and almost ripped out my own in the process. His study in grief was mesmerising and totally plausible and being the sucker that I am for a tortured soul, I just wanted to make it all better.
Not wanting his suffering to continue was the motivation for writing these shorts, but I am also intrigued as to how the actor prepares for a role like this. No wonder he looked tormented and dark under the eyes when he emerged from filming.
