This being the only information volunteered by the character during the course of Pitch Black, Riddick is a total enigma. Where did he come from and what DID he do, exactly? Sexy, scary and controlled, he is perfect fantasy fodder and the perfect muse for fiction writers, some of whom have been an inspiration in their creativity and imagination.
I am pleased to have reached a place in which I am comfortable with my own interpretation of Riddick.
