The Unown are a species of Pokemon that have multiple forms that  appear to look like letters to humans. The range the Unowns forms is from A-Z. We can read insciptions left the our ancestors that have been coded to look like the Unown.

Legendary Poke'mon are usually powerful. Entei, Raikou, and Suicune are the three legendary cat poke'mon. Lugia and Ho-oh are the three flying legendary poke'mon.

The Unown have a mysterious backround. Poke'mon Crystal gives a little more insight on the Unown. In Crystal, there are 4 new rooms in the Ruins of Alph. these can only be opened when certain things happen in the Ruins. In the fourth room you must have Ho-oh in your party, in room 3 you must have a water stone in your pack, the first room requires you to leave the room by an escape rope, and finally the second room requires you to use Flash to open the room up.

Entei, Raikou, and Suicune all have a special relationship with Ho-oh. The legend of the Burned Tower in Ecruteak City involves them. The legend says that 700 years ago, the Brass Tower was caught in flames. Three unamed poke'mon died in the fire. After the fire was stopped, the sky grew dark, and a massive rainbow-colored bird poke'mon landed at the site, the poke'mon then resurrected the three poke'mon. The bird poke'mon was Ho-oh and the three cat poke'mon were Raikou, Entei, and Suicune.
