Background/History:
This version of Achilles is the one the legends are based on. He is a great warrior, but can be hurt.
But much like the man says, when the legend becomes fact, print the legend.
He does not know about the vulnerability of his heels, but wears armor like most warriors.

Personality/Motivation:
Achilles is something of a wild card. He is the one of the greatest fighters of his time,
but fights for no king. He fights for himself or what interests him.
He is loyal to Greece, so he is no wild mercenary even if he can be bought.
Achilles does not bow to any man, king or no. Achilles is wary of anything a king promises to
him, since he has been used and dismissed without compensation before.

Quotes:
"I want what all men want, I just want more".
"Before my time is done I will look down on your corpse and smile".
"Do you know what's waiting beyond that beach? Immortality! Take it! It's yours"!
"At night I sometimes see them. The faces of the men I killed. They're waiting for me
on the far bank of the Styx. They say, Welcome, brother".

Powers/Tactics:
Achilles has all the subtlety of a sword in the ribs. One tactic that he used with
Herakles was for Herakles to throw Achilles with all his might into the fray of battle.
This tactic would be used millennia later by a Canadian & a Russian after reading about it.

Appearance:
Blonde Hair, Brown Eyes, Tan Skin. 5' 11", 220 lbs. See picture if you need more...

(Achilles created by Peleus & Thetis, HERO System write-up by Randall Wright)

Inspiration:
Yet another character based on a movie/actor. Brad Pitt's Achilles in Troy.
I think GM Randall knew how talk me into playing a fantasy game. :)
I probably didn't play Achilles as noble at in the movie, but my version
wasn't as moody either. However, he was popular with the ladies....
