Background:
  Johnny was a good kid who got into a bit of trouble in his hometown in Colorado.  He was given the choice of going to jail or joining the Army.  Johnny took 

the army and was sent the Europe.  Johnny learned several "local" languages during his tenure in Europe.  Johnny also matured and calmed down during his 

time in the Army.  The only "bad" thing to come of his service was a heaping big questioning of authority.  Johnny prefers to do follow his own council rather

 follow orders blindly.  Johnny had been cruising America when word of his Mother's death brought him back to Colorado.  There, he got mixed up with 

some alien invasion, government cover-up and other unpleasant things.  While Johnny may be quite the anti-authority individual in a very authority driven 

time, he still loves his county and did his duty to keep her free.  

Creation:
  Johnny Black took a while to come up with.  Based on the GURPs source book "Atomic Horror", the game was set in the 1950's.  Like most people around my 

age, most of my notions of the 50's are based on the show "Happy Days".  So originally Johnny was very "Fonzie-esque".  The other thing I think 

of when I think of the 50's is the birth of Rock & Roll and it's King.  Being born and raised in Tennessee, you are required to be a fan of Elvis Presley.  

It's just one of those things.  Once I got the look, it all fell together.  Elvis meets the Fonz, or rather if Elvis played The Fonz.
