Greetings, exhalted ones, and welcome to my page. With a new millenium, I have decided that it was high time to update and revamp the site, as I had been letting it slip, and I needed to get things current again in getting ready for Episode III. Those of you who have been following Guy's Star Wars Rebellion for some time now will find that many sections have either been updated, removed, or added. If you're familiar with some of the older pages, check them out again. I've made sure to update almost everything. If you are new to this site, then welcome! I hope that you find both this page and your time here enjoyable and return again.

So why call my site Guy's Star Wars Rebellion? Isn't that a Lucasarts game? Yes it is, but that's not where the title came from, as my page was created before the game ever hit the store shelves. This site was originally one of the many sections on my personal homepage. However, with the release of the Special Edition in 1997, and the upcoming Episode I in 1999, I decided that rather than keep my interest in Star Wars just a small section on my personal site, I decided to expand it into a full-blown homepage. The Rebellion part of the title came about from my viewing Star Wars sites, and other than a few noteworthy ones (The Official Site, T'Bone Fender's Starwarz.Com page, Jedinet and Newsdroid come to mind), so many were the same. Same pictures, same facts, same information from other sites.... So how could I make my page any different? By writing about Star Wars from the best way I know how: From a fans-eye view. My view. So I make it a point to keep my page unique, less epic, with information and pictures you won't find on every other Star Wars site on the internet. This is my story, and it's how Star Wars has affected me. I suppose that in many ways, it's almost a "love" story as no other film series has ever affected or influenced my life (and it certainly has) like none other before it, and none since. It's the reason that I've been pursuing a degree in film so that, like George Lucas, I can use the medium of film to tell my own stories. If there's an interesting piece of information about the Star Wars world, I'll certainly try to mention it here, but there are other sites that can give that news a lot better than I ever could, so I'm not going to compete against them (many of which being my friends).

Not that this is the only place you can find information from me. I've been the Section Producer of Computer Gaming with Newsdroid since its launch of Fall '98, where I'll drop a tidbit of gaming information every so often. Check that site out. It's a great source of information from all facets of Star Wars fandom.

Enjoy the page, my friends. It's a wonderful time to be a Star Wars fan, and the best is yet to come....

There are a few people that I would like to thank, a few site guidelines, and a few references that I would like to mention for credit on some of the images on my site. If you see something that I have used, and I haven't given proper credit, drop me a line, and I'll correct it.

Image and Review Usage:

I work hard on adding unique pictures to my site that you can't find on the countless other Star Wars sites on the web, and most of the images seen on my page are from various photos, contributions, and my own artwork. The same goes for my commentaries on the various Star Wars movies, projects, conventions and video games available. If a person wants to use an image, comment, or review from my site, I ask to be credited for the image and a link to my page. Believe me, 99.9% of the time I'll say "yes", as I enjoy helping out other webmasters. Do not "borrow" anything from my site without asking me first. Stealing is stealing, no matter what you call it. To paraphrase Princess Leia, "I have powerful friends", and if I see anything from my site used on another page without my consent, I will be all over that site like stink on a tauntaun. I list all sites that I have taken images/media from below, and link to their sites on my "Links" page.

How My Link System Works:

I've had a lot of people ask to be a part of my link system. Under normal circumstances, I have no problem with this whatsoever, as it's just a little bit of HTML typing for me. Just to give an idea of how I choose the sites I link to, they have to follow under one of these criteria:

1.) I'm friends with a person who maintains or works on one of the sites.
2.) Someone has linked to my site, so as my way of saying "thanks" and as a courtesy, I will link to them.
3.) I find the content of a site interesting and of potential interest to my visitors.

Linking to a site is by my discretion only, and will remain so as long as I am webmaster of GSWR.

My Thanks:

My friends for tolerating and helping me support my "addiction".
T'Bone Fender - For being the friend that he is and help that he has been in improving my site. There's a reason why he's one of the best.
R. Lee Brown - For giving me a chance to stretch my writing skills on the former NewsDroid.

Echo3/Red5 - For the allowance of wav. files for my page.

For being as gracious and pleasant as they were when I met them, or even just being able to see them at a charity event, making this Jedi wannabe very happy.

And most importantly, George Lucas, for giving the world a universe where heroes are born, good triumphs over evil, unforgettable villians that can be cheered as well as booed, and a wonderful story that continues to unfold and bring out the kid in all of us.
