History: Nadda was born to the Northern Lakes Clan. She was two when she discovered her ability to see the future. In fact, she saw the lightning of the woman who was going to kill another in the clan before leaving for cleansing and never coming back. She tried to warn her mother, then anyone who would listen, but none would pay much attention to a two seasons old.
It was ten years later that she discovered her focus of her insight was always on some calamity waiting to happen. The bitterness of having such a unwelcome gift began to grow inside of her from that moment. She refused to participate in competitions, holidays, or clan meetings from the tender age of twelve, selecting instead to wander off alone in a grove on a island of land created by two rivers that converge at the island's southern tip. She would wade across the river closest to her clan's territory and settle in the center of the grove, contemplating the visions she received at greater frequency.
After another ten years, Nadda began having visions of women she has never met before. Instinctively, she knew these women were her destiny, her path of greatness. She didn't know where they were located, or how to get there, but she knew that south is the direction to go. But, she was so unmotivated to do anything but contemplate the future, it took her another three years before she actually left the clan. It was the ascension of Palitia Nuk that persuaded her to go. The young woman was never a playmate, none of the other women were, but there were visions surrounding the woman's upcoming trials that bothered her, especially since Nadda saw herself being sent away in them.
So, she did the clan and Clan Mother a favor and left before she could be sent away. She traveled by foot and didn't bother looking for food or water. Seven days later, she weakly collapsed near the territory of the Misty Falls clan. A warrior found her and a healer helped her gain her strength back. In payment she helped the clan by pointing out to the clan's elders that Orla was going to turn, that darkness was in her heart. She left seven days after she was found and continued her journey south. This time she was better provisioned and had a better understanding of the need to find food and water on her journey.
Nadda followed the mountain chain along the eastern side, through the purple plains to a river which she followed into the canyon. Her journey took fourteen days and she was exhausted. Her visions kept pointing her in the correct direction while also warning her of dangers along the way to avoid. Her journey was not in vain. She found women foraging near the canyon and requested to be taken to the leader as she felt guided to this place by visions. Visions are well respected by most witches and she was immediately taken to Renata Sabra where Nadda proceeded to have a vision about a great warrior returning to Dathomir from space who may become a problem to the existence of the Nightsisters.
She gave a description of the woman and Sabra recalled a woman from the Frenzied River clan who was known to be a great warrior who fought the Nightsisters long before Sabra became leader. Sabra then gave Nadda a home amongst them and the whole clan respected her need for solitude for contemplation, which she shared with Sabra only if it had anything to do with the Nightsister's welfare as they agreed upon as her payment for staying with them.
During her years with the Nightsister's, Nadda has learned to impression her peers by her usual ability to tolerate pain. She would pierce her nose, earlobes, and other more sensitive areas during meetings to make her an even more well respected, even a admired peer. After the piercings, she would accept tokens from the other members of jewelry to put in the piercings to keep them open while the skin healed around it. She wore the jewelry as a sign of her own status within the clan.
