Consider this, it is now possible to buy a skin patch with medicine or other drugs (like nicotine) and apply it to the OUTSIDE of our skin and receive the effects of that drug just as if we took it internally all by TOUCHING our skin.

A whole industry exists for supplying medicine for various reasons like stop smoking, on band-aids for faster healing or to remove corns.

For skin patches to work, our skin must absorb what ever touches it!

Now, consider this, when bolts of material are received from the supplier, any insect or rodent that makes its way into the fabric is dead by the time it arrives at the warehouse.  Having worked at a clothing manufacturer, I inquired as to the reason that nothing came out alive and was informed,    "because of the chemicals used".

Chemicals like formaldehyde are used freely as there is no law to regulate them because it is not taken internally!
Also, several fabrics are themselves CHEMICALS.  Nylon, Rayon, Polyester and several others are manmade materials.  We have no idea all the chemicals present in the fabric that make up our clothing.

When we get dressed, we are possibly putting several different chemicals in touch with our skin!  No study has ever been done to determine what affect all these different chemicals have on our health.

We do know that new carpets give off an odor that has been known to make some people very sick.  As the harsh chemicals that are used in the manufacturing process vent off, they can cause serious health hazards as they are breathed in.  They are what are termed, that "new smell".  They may also cause serious health hazards if they are exposed to our skin!

We use many chemicals each day that may cause harm.  Do we know what is in our fabric softeners, our soaps, shampoo's, and detergent?  All of these may have harsh chemicals that contact our skin by being in our clothing.

Yes, we believe it is hazardous to your health to wear clothing.

Our clothing is hurting us!

There are no tests being done to see what harm all these chemicals are doing to us. As long as it is not taken internally, there are no regulations therefore on one is pressured to test them. There are chemicals every where! Also considers the chemicals used to make our clothes drip dry, the anti-flammable chemicals required in children's clothing, even the coloring used in our clothes does not have to be tested as harmful or not.

All of this could be causing us harm. We don't know because no studies are being done.
The many different sniffles and other minor health issues maybe a direct result of allowing different chemicals to be exposed to our skin.

It is also possible that the increases in social deviants loose on society are a direct result of their exposure to these harsh chemicals touching their skin since childhood.

Our Recommendation!
Educate yourself! Limit the exposure of harsh chemicals. If you can afford to, only put on natural fibers such as cotton, wool, linen, and silk. These have been proven to have no adverse effect, but then you need to concern yourself with chemicals used to color them.
Be aware! Some of my children are allergic to certain laundry soap but not others. The result is almost immediate. Watch your family. If some show odd behavior at different times, try to link certain events to their reaction. Be careful not to over react
