New Springs Lions v Langworthy Reds
New Springs Lions showed great teamwork in attack and defence; Adam Mcguire's typical determined running bagged him a superb try against some very strong tough tackling opponents, new player Conah Markland and Jack Winstanley led by example showing some great tackling and solid drives. Nick and Alex Williams worked really hard again with some great tackling and strong running. Jacob Swift and Reece Roocroft showed what they can do with the ball with some great passing against a very quick defensive team. Callum McCormick made some excellent tackles, with Jacob Rylance running and tackling well throughout the game. Tom Fairhurst and Ethan Palmer showed great teamwork and awareness cover tackling well and chasing everything. Josh Mines and Harry Ogden put their bodies on the line in defence resulting in injuries, but bravely carried on with the game, running well and making good yards. Zoe Connolly showed some quick play of the ball and organised the team well. Player of the Match award voted by all parents present was no doubt Jack Winstanley who has improved immensely with his powerful running, good hand offs and excellent tackling. Most improved Player award went to Reece Roocroft who's improving every week and adapting to his new position well. Top Tackier Award went to Nick Williams who covered tackled well with some hard hits .Well done to all the team, every player put in 110% and the results will start to come and thank you to William Starkie for his help and commitment to the team. |
