PILKS RECS V NEW SPRINGS LIONS

It was another hard game for New Springs but a spirited performance against a very well organised and experienced Pilks team. All the hard work in training has started to show on match days. New Springs showed some good team work in attack completing their sets of six, passing the ball more with some great kicks on the 5th tackle from Reece Roocroft and Jacob Swift.
Jacob Rylance and Callum McCormick put in a spirited performance with some good tackling, Josh Mines and Harry Ogden played well breaking the Pilks defence passing out wide creating gaps for the ever supportive backs. Zoe Connelly, Tom Fairhurst and Ethan Palmer organised the team well once again making no mistakes.
New Springs forwards Adam McGuire, Jack Winstanley Nick and Alex Williams, put in a lot of hard work with a lot of tackling and running with the ball creating gaps in the middle of the ruck.
It was very difficult for the parents present to pick a player of the match, however Pilks coach selected a player on their  behalf.

Player of the match went to Jack Winstanley for his strong running and determination through out the game.

Top Tackier went to Tom Fairhurst who has improved immensely on his tackling, chasing every player in defence and also following the field of play well and chasing all kicks.

Most improved
player went to Ethan Palmer for showing good encouragement, organising the team well and showing great enthusiasm.
Well done to all players on showing everything you learned in training and putting it in to practice on match days, keep up the good work.
