Thatto Heath U11s 28 New Springs Lions U11s 12
Sun 15th Feb
A very good performance from the Lions missing 3 regulars. Thatto Heath kindly lent us 3 players who played with true spirit of the Lions gritty determination. Strong running from James and Danny made some good yards driving the ball well . The Lions competed well, Thatto Heath were shaky under the high balls from Nathan's kicks which resulted in a perfect bounce for George to score which he converted.
Candice run and tackled well, even after a deadleg and
"killer", one of our borrowed players scored for us which was converted. Coach Dave was pleased with the attitude and commitment from his players which was much improved from  Saturdays training session  and looks forward to the next match. Sam retired from an injury to his neck but the Lions continued to make good progress against a side who defeated them 50 points to nil last year. George deservedly won the most  improved award for his second half performance, just as well as he forgot to bring it back from last time.
The game was played in good spirits and was  credit to both sides. Coach Dave would like to thank the Thatto Heath players who played for us with great enthusiasm.
