| David Jay Jordan's All Religions are the Same You've heard people say, 'All religions are the same and all pathways lead to the same place.' but it's a lie and absolutely untrue. Do all roads in the world, go to the same place ? Do all philosophies say the same thing ? Are all acts in the world loving and kind ? Does it matter what religion and path we take ? Of course it does. We have to choose. Why because all religions are not the same, and all roads do not lead to the same place ! Where in the world or underworld did people get such ridiculous illusions. Religions vary greatly in what they say, and what they inspire people to do. Some religions teach exclusion and superiority and pride. Some actually teach disrepect for other people and other beliefs. Some don't allow their flocks or congregations, or ashrams, or covens, or members to even consider other life styles or thoughts. Some actively persecute those that difer with them ? And then there are some religions that retreat into total apathy and unconcern, compared to the political activism of others. Some are concerned about the poor, others concentrate on making more money to acquire more power, to supposedly show their godliness. So are all religions the same ? NO, they can be vastly different. Do they all worship the same Divinity. NO ! Some worship an unamed God, some the Mother Earth, others Goddesses and still others worship mankind or their big bang theory. There are multitudes of supposed God;s in this world to choose from. Are they all the same ? Absolutely Not ! In some cases they may be referring to the same divinity, just using another name, but in no way can all religious divinities be considered the same. is the devil the same as the Lord? Absolutely Not !! M Are religious precepts and laws the same ? Absolutely not !! Some religions believe in the ten Commandments, others a miriade of laws and commandments and restrictions, while others believe in love ? Are these groups therefor the same ... NO, they follow different ideals and principles and pathways. Some teach self righteousness through following the law so one can supposedly become righteous and pure, while others teach that we can never reach perfection but can only love. And so we have to choose what we believe and follow that ideals in how we live. religions are not the same and do not teach the same things whether they are secular worldly ones of spiritual ones. Some religions believe in humility and equality, others believe in religious inequality and segregation. Some feel that it is by works, some by money, some by associations, some by power, some by bloodlines, and some think that it is by GRACE and giving LOVE. So what religion do you choose ? Do you think Budda found the way, how about Confuscious ? What about Iris and Oris, do you want them as your gods, or maybe you prefer an alien from Sirius ? Or do you think Jesus was worthy of your admiration and your following ? But whatever you have to choose as no one can do it for you. You have a choice in life and religions, you have to choose one. For as the Lord's prophet said to the people, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. (I Kings 18: 21) And as Jesus himself said ... Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. (Mathew 7: 13-15) And Jesus said later on, He was the Good Shepherd and Messiah, the only door, and all others were thieves and robbers .... Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers. This parable spake Jesus unto them: but they understood not what things they were which he spake unto them. Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly (John 10 : 1-10) So choose wisely as all religions and pathways do NOT lead to the same place.
